Burglary Prevention – Norton Heights Area |
||
|
Staffordshire Police are advising residents in the Norton Heights area to remain vigilant following a recent increase in burglary offences. We are working to identify those responsible and are carrying out additional patrols in the area. Residents can help by taking a few simple steps to protect their homes and report any suspicious activity. Crime Prevention Advice✅ Lock doors and windows whenever you leave your property, even for a short time. ✅ Keep keys out of sight and away from doors and windows. ✅ Use exterior lighting and consider motion-activated security lights to deter offenders. ✅ Ensure valuables are not visible through windows. ✅ Consider installing CCTV, video doorbells or alarm systems where possible. ✅ Ask trusted neighbours to keep an eye on your property if you are away. ✅ Mark and register valuable property using a recognised property-marking scheme. Report Suspicious ActivityPlease contact us if you see: Unknown persons acting suspiciously around homes or vehicles. People trying door handles or looking into properties. Unfamiliar vehicles repeatedly driving slowly through residential streets. Any suspicious behaviour that causes concern. 📞 Call 999 if a crime is in progress or there is an immediate threat. 📞 Call 101 or report online via the Staffordshire Police website for non-emergency information. | ||
